Born January 1951 in St. Louis Missouri USA. Have never been involved in sports or physical training until 2011. Started running June 2013 after 2 years of weight loss and high-intensity aerobics. Prefer technical trail running to any other exercise.
Began participating in 5K races October 2014. First race:35:52.

Complete my transition to toe-strike, barefoot running
Achieve a PR 5K of 30:00.
Pass/maintain semi-annual USMC physical fitness test age graded 46 yr, 1st Class fitness requirement.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Run a marathon and finish it.
Keep on running and supporting St.Louis Ultrarunners Group.
Integrate wilderness outdoor observation and tracking, minimalist camping/survivalism, into a holistic running experience.
